Chicago's "The Radio Hour " combines neo-psychedelic, folk-punk and dark southern goth influences into a catalog of lush and stark songs with dramatic swings in mood.
The Radio Hour's first CD garnered immediate attention with its guitar-driven pop gems and a warm analog sound. The band found its voice on a self-titled second CD, consisting of well-crafted and world-weary songs that have a lasting sense of melody and an appealing sense for introspection. The band's third CD, simply called "The Radio Hour EP," continues in the steps of the band's second release with its meditations on themes of redemption.
