Kristin Fehlau
I've always had music around me growing up. I come from a musical family, so it's only natural I take it up. Im' drawn toward the more Alternative/pop/Folk Rock/Acoustic/Mainstream sound. I fall into some of these genres. I got my first taste of recording in a studio in 2001. I joined Bob Yeng, producer/engineer, at the Musicians Developement Institute in Plymouth. I plugged out a 7 song CD, about a year and a half later and titled "23rd Story." During this time, I took up guitar. A helpful key for an asirping songwriter. I've trained vocally for over 7 yrs., been singing/performing for over 11 yrs. and that helped to bring my album to life. I had a raved review in the Boston based music magazine, "Sound Check." I had some songs played on PIXY 103 on Cape Cod and a TX University station. It paid off. Soon after, I received my first royalties for my hard work. MDI got a band together for me. I played just one performance with them Even after moving to Boston in 2003 from Cape Cod, I kept on song writing. I worked on some new stuff over at MDI. I put a small collections of acoustic songs together. That was back in 2004. Since then I've hit a bit of a rut. I'm searching for inspiration. That's when, I thought it was high time to put together a band myself. I've run into a little good luck and found musicians to form a coverband, so that is what I have been up to since 2010. My original music/guitar playing is.on backbone for now, but not forgotten. Hoping to work it into my current project or in between.
