Ruins of Tomorrow’s “erratic sound and rampant stage antics” haveallowed them to become known as one of the heaviest and most brutalbands in the Colorado music scene. Combining the fast paced barrage ofblast beats and tremolo picking known to death metal with thebludgeoning breakdowns of hardcore, Ruins of Tomorrow has madethemselves a staple in the scene. Started in 2006 by vocalist TraxHenderson and then guitarist Zak Gallegos, Ruins of Tomorrow havebuilt a dedicated and energetic fan base in their three and half yearexistence. During that time, the band has had the honor of sharing the stage with numerous acts, including national touring bands, Carnifex (VictoryRecords), Fear Before (Equal Vision) Katsumoto and No Bragging Rights.The band was also able to venture out and have successful showsin multiple markets from their native northern, CO (Greeley, FortCollins) being well received at venues in Cheyenne, WY, ColoradoSprings, CO (Union Station) and Denver, CO (Lifespot, BluebirdTheatre). ROT was also a featured band in the February issue of SceneMagazine, based out of Fort Collins, CO. ROT have become well known for their energetic, causticand intense live shows and are currently working on their debut EP.With touring plans into 2010, Ruins of Tomorrow plan to bring theirparticular brand of “deathcore” to an already established fan basethat extends across the U.S. and even into Mexico. Big things are in store for ROT's future.
